Market to stabilize
The word of the day? Stabilization.
That is how Richard Corriveau, regional economist with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp., characterizes the housing market facing Calgarians and Albertans in the upcoming year.
At the recent annual CMHC Housing Outlook Conference, Corriveau told about 500 industry officials that Calgary's housing market probably won't see another slide like that of this year.
